Multi directional antenna:
An antenna that is able to receive signals from many directions is
called a multi directional antenna. There are many size and shapes of
multi directional antennas. They have different features. There are
mainly two types of multi directional antennas, one being the indoor
antenna and the other being the outdoor antenna. The indoor antennas
can be placed next to the TV and the outdoor antennas are placed on the
rooftop for an appropriate reception of radio signals. The other types
of multidirectional antennas are small multi directional antennas,
medium multi directional antennas, large multi directional antennas,
and small directional medium directional, and large directional
antennas. Medium multi directional antennas:
The multidirectional antennas have color codes that are broken into
seven zones. The zones identify the different types of antennas that
are required for optimum reception in each zone. These antennas also
called as multi element rooftop antennas. The medium multi directional
antennas are slightly larger and powerful than the small multi
directional antennas. The antennas include novel stick, wing shaped, or
disk antennas with long elements. It is useful in green color code
areas. Use of medium multi directional antennas:Multi directional antennas receive signals in complete 360-degree circle. Therefore they are very helpful to the areas where there are no proper signals. In other words when they are placed on the rooftop receives more signals in remote and hilly areas. A maximum reception of signals is possible through medium directional antennas. These antennas are more popular because of their size and ghost reducing characteristics. These antennas can be used both in indoor and outdoor purposes. They have the ability to provide great picture and sounds. These antennas can be assemble and placed very fast.
