Medium Directional Antenna

Medium directional antenna

Directional Antenna:

It is an electronic device used to transmit and receive radio signals. A directional antenna is an antenna that radiates greater power in one or more directions. This allows increased performances on transmit and receive and receive and reduced interference from unwanted sources. All the antennas are slightly directional. The normal antennas have a direction in the plane parallel to the earth. They can easily be omnidirectional in one place. The most common types of directional antennas are yagi antenna, the log-periodic antenna, and the corner reflectors. These often make use of external directional antennas to give a greater signal.

Medium directional antenna:

The medium directional antennas have color codes indicating different zones. They also identify the type of the TV antenna best suited for optimal reception in each zone. These are the most popular rooftop antennas. They have the popularity because of its modest size, and ghost reducing characters. They are also called as multi element rooftop antennas. The medium directional antennas can be placed fast and assembled easily. They eliminate the need for matching transformers when using a coax cable.

They usually have maximum corrosion resistance, flexible polyethylene boot covers to protect the connections from the weather. There are many size and shapes of multi directional antennas. They are designed to suit the locations. Some of the medium directional antennas can receive and demodulate clear analog broadcast signals and DTV/HDTV signals from the transmit source. They are ideal for the suburban market. Medium directional antennas have installation option. They can be mounted practically anywhere for the best reception such as on walls, roofs, patios, attics, or railings.

Uses of medium directional antenna:

The antennas deliver powerful VHF performance and offer additional higher gain on VHF and UHF. They are important for weak signal areas. The color code of medium directional antenna indicates different zones. They help to reduce radio interference. They also improve the utilization of the wireless medium. A medium directional antenna is one of the criterions for better system performance. The main advantage of medium directional antenna is providing higher gain. The medium directional antennas are best for yellow, green, light green and red color code areas.
